13Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. He came to her, and the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son.14The women said to Naomi, "Blessed be the LORD, who has not caused a redeemer to cease for you this day, and may his name be called in Israel."15He will be to you a restorer of life and a sustainer of your old age, because your daughter-in-law who loves you, who bore him, is more to you than seven sons.16Naomi took the youth and placed him in her embrace, and she became his nurse.17The neighboring women called his name, saying, "A son has been born to Naomi," and they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.18These are the generations of Perez: Perez begot Hezron.19Hezron begot Ram, and Ram begot Amminadab.20Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon.21Salmon begot Boaz, and Boaz begot Obed.22Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David.
