17And while Jesus was ascending toward Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and said to them on the road.18Look! We are ascending toward Jerusalem, and the son of a human will be delivered to the high priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death.19And they will deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and whipped and crucified, and he will arise on the third day.
