Letter to Philadelphia: An Open Door and a Promise of Protection
Revelation 3:7-13
7And to the angel of the assembly in Philadelphia write: These things says the Holy One, the True One, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens.8I know your works. Look, I have given before you a door opened, which no one is able to shut, because you have little power and have kept my word and have not denied my name.9Look, I give from the synagogue of Satan those saying themselves to be Jews, and they are not, but lie. Look, I will make them so that they will come and worship before your feet and will know that I loved you.10Because you have kept the word of my perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of the temptation that is about to come upon the whole world to tempt those dwelling upon the earth.11I am coming quickly. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may take your crown.12The one conquering, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will not go out outside still, and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem coming down out from heaven from my God, and my new name.13Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
