Jesus Predicts the Disciples' Flight and Peter's Denial
Mark 14:27-31
27And Jesus says to them, "All will be caused to stumble, because it has been written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered."28But after I arise, I will go before you toward Galilee.29Then Peter asserted to him, "Even if all will be caused to stumble, yet not I."30And Jesus says to him, "Truly I say to you that today, this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times."31Then he spoke overexcessively: "If it is necessary for me to die with you, I will by no means deny you." Likewise then all were saying.
