1And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write: The one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says this: I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, and you are dead.2Become watchful and strengthen what remains, which is about to die, for I have not found your works completed before my God.3Remember therefore how you received and heard, and keep it and repent. If therefore you do not watch, I will come like a thief, and you will certainly not know at what hour I will come upon you.4Yet you have a few names in Sardis that have not defiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, because they are worthy.5The one who conquers will thus be clothed in white garments, and I will never blot out his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.6The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
