Psalm 5

Psalm 5:1-12
To the conductor; to the flutes; a melody of David. 1Give ear to my words, O LORD; understand my meditation. 2Give heed to the voice of my cry, my king and my God, for to you I pray. 3O the LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I arrange it for you and watch. 4For you are not a God delighting in wickedness; evil may not sojourn with you. 5The foolish will not stand before your eyes; you hate all who work evil. 6You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the man of blood and deceit. 7And I, through the abundance of your kindness, will come into your house; I will bow toward your holy temple in your fear. 8O the LORD, lead me in your righteousness because of my enemies; make straight before me your way. 9For there is nothing upright in his mouth; their inward parts are destruction; their throat is an open grave; they smooth their tongue. 10Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall from their counsels; in the abundance of their transgressions banish them, for they have rebelled against you. 11And let all who seek refuge in you rejoice; let them sing forever, and spread protection over them, and let those who love your name exult in you. 12For you bless the righteous, O LORD; like a shield you surround him with favor.
