45And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,46Son of man, set your face toward the south and drip toward the south and prophesy against the wood of the land of the Negeb,47and say to the wood of the Negeb, Hear the word of the LORD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I am kindling a fire in you, and it will consume every fresh tree and every dry tree in you; the flame will not be quenched, and every face from the Negeb to the north will be burned in it,48and all flesh will see that I, the LORD, have burned it; it will not be quenched.49Then I said, Alas, the Lord GOD! They are saying to me, Is he not using a proverb?
