1And he led me to the gate, the gate that faces the way of the east.2And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east, and his voice was like the voice of many waters, and the land shone from his glory.3And the appearance was like the appearance that I had seen when I came to ruin the city, and the appearances were like the appearance that I had seen toward the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.4And the glory of the LORD came to the house by the way of the gate whose face was toward the way of the east.5And the spirit lifted me and brought me into the inner court, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.6And I heard one speaking to me from the house, and a man was standing beside me.7And he said to me, "Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the palms of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the sons of Israel forever; and the house of Israel shall not again defile my holy name, they and their kings, by their fornication and by the corpses of their kings on their high places."8By their giving their threshold beside my threshold and their doorpost beside my doorpost, with the wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their abominations that they did, and I consumed them in my anger.9Now let them remove their fornication and the corpses of their kings far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.10You, son of man, describe to the house of Israel the house, that they may be humiliated because of their iniquities and may measure its proportion.11And if they are humiliated because of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the house and its fitting and its exits and its entrances and all its designs and all its statutes and all its designs and all its instructions; write them before their eyes so that they may keep all its design and all its statutes and do them.12This is the instruction of the house: upon the head of the mountain, all its border around and around is holiness of holinesses. Behold, this is the instruction of the house.
