1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread,3and assemble all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting.4Moses did just as the LORD had commanded him, and the congregation assembled at the entrance of the tent of meeting.5Moses said to the congregation, "This is the matter that the LORD has commanded to be done."6Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.7He put the tunic on him, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and fastened the decorated band of the ephod around him.8He placed the breastpiece on him and put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece.9He set the turban on his head and fastened the gold plate, the holy diadem, to the front of the turban, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.10Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and he consecrated them.11He sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, anointed the altar and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand, in order to consecrate them.12He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head and anointed him in order to consecrate him.13Moses brought Aaron's sons forward, clothed them with tunics, tied sashes around them, and fastened headbands on them, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.14He brought forward the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering.15Moses slaughtered it, took the blood, and applied it with his finger to the horns of the altar all around, thereby purifying the altar; he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it.16He took all the fat that was on the entrails, the appendage of the liver, the two kidneys and their fat, and Moses burned them on the altar.17He burned the bull, its hide, its flesh, and its refuse in fire outside the camp, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.18He brought forward the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.19Moses slaughtered it and splashed the blood against the altar all around.20He cut the ram into pieces, and Moses offered the head, the pieces, and the suet.21He washed the entrails and the legs in water, and Moses offered the whole ram on the altar as a burnt offering; it was a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.22He brought forward the second ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.23Moses slaughtered it, took some of its blood, and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.24He brought Aaron's sons forward, and Moses put some of the blood on the lobe of their right ear, on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot, and he splashed the blood against the altar all around.25He took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat on the midst, the appendage of the liver, the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh.26From the basket of unleavened bread that was before the LORD he took one unleavened cake, one cake of bread mixed with oil, and one wafer, and he placed them on the fat portions and on the right thigh.27He put all these on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons and waved them as a wave offering before the LORD.28Moses took them from their palms and burned them on the altar on top of the burnt offering; they were an ordination offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.29Moses took the breast and waved it as a wave offering before the LORD; it was his portion from the ram of ordination, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.30Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron and on his garments, and on his sons and on their garments with him, thereby consecrating Aaron and his garments, and his sons and their garments with him.31Moses said to Aaron and his sons, "Boil the flesh at the entrance of the tent of meeting and eat it there, together with the bread that is in the basket of ordination, just as I commanded when I said, Aaron and his sons shall eat it."32Burn with fire whatever remains of the flesh and of the bread.33Do not go out from the entrance of the tent of meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, for seven days he shall ordain you.34Just as was done on this day, the LORD commanded that atonement be made for you.35Remain day and night at the entrance of the tent of meeting for seven days and keep the charge of the LORD, so that you do not die, for so I have been commanded.36Aaron and his sons did all the things that the LORD had commanded through Moses.
