16The LORD said to Moses, Speak to Aaron: Stretch out your rod and strike the dust of the land, and it shall become gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.17They did so. Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and struck the dust of the land, and the gnats were on man and on animal; all the dust of the land became gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.18The magicians did so with their secrecy to bring forth the gnats, but they were not able; and the gnats were on man and on animal.19The magicians said to Pharaoh, It is the finger of God. Yet the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as the LORD had spoken.
