David’s Prayer of Praise and Blessing for Solomon

1 Chronicles 29:10-20
10David blessed the LORD before the eyes of all the assembly, and David said, "Blessed are you, O LORD, God of Israel our father, from everlasting to everlasting." 11To you, O LORD, belong the greatness, the might, the beauty, the perpetuity, and the splendor, for all in heaven and on earth is yours; to you, O LORD, belongs the kingdom, and you are exalted over all as head. 12Riches and glory are from your presence, and you rule over all; in your hand are strength and might, and it is in your hand to magnify and to strengthen all. 13And now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your glorious name. 14For who am I, and who is my people, that we should be able to offer willingly like this? For all is from you, and from your hand we have given to you. 15For we are sojourners before you and foreigners, like all our fathers; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope. 16O LORD our God, all this crowd that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name is from your hand, and it is yours, and to you belongs all. 17I know, my God, that you test the heart and delight in uprightness; I have willingly offered all these things in the uprightness of my heart, and now I have seen your people who are found here offering willingly to you with joy. 18O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever as the intention of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and establish their heart toward you. 19And give to Solomon my son a complete heart to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, to do all, and to build the palace for which I have prepared. 20Then David said to all the assembly, "Bless the LORD your God." So all the assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers, and bowed and bowed down to the LORD and to the king.
