Oracle Concerning Philistia and Promise to Zion

Isaiah 14:28-32
28In the year of the death of King Ahaz, this oracle came into being. 29Do not rejoice, all of you Philistia, for the staff that struck you has been broken; for out of the root of a serpent a serpent comes forth, and its fruit is a flying serpent. 30The firstborn of the poor will graze, and the needy will lie down in security; and I will put your root to death by famine, and I will slay your remnant. 31Wail, O gate; cry out, O city; Philistia, all of you, melt away, for smoke is coming from the north, and there is no straggler among its ranks. 32And what will the messengers of the nation answer? For the LORD has founded Zion, and in it the afflicted of his people find refuge.
