The Altar of Incense

Exodus 30:1-10
1You shall make an altar for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood. 2Its length shall be a cubit and its width a cubit; it shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits, with its horns from it. 3You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make for it a molding of gold all around. 4You shall make two rings of gold for it under its molding on its two sides; you shall make them on its two sides, and they shall be for holders for poles to carry it with them. 5You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 6You shall place it before the curtain that is above the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I shall meet with you there. 7Aaron shall burn incense of spices upon it in the morning, when he makes good the lamps; he shall burn it. 8When Aaron makes the lamps ascend between the evenings, he shall burn incense continually before the LORD throughout your generations. 9You shall not cause to ascend upon it strange incense, nor a burnt offering, nor an offering, nor a drink offering shall you pour upon it. 10Aaron shall atone upon its horns once in the year with blood of the sin offering of the atonements; once in the year he shall atone upon it throughout your generations; it is most holy to the LORD.
