Chapter 16

You shall appoint judges and officers for yourself in all your gates that the LORD your God is giving you, for your tribes. And they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.
19
Do not pervert justice. Do not show partiality. Do not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
20
Righteousness, righteousness you shall pursue, so that you may live and inherit the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
