18And the LORD caused me to know, and I knew; then you caused me to see their deeds.19And I was like a tame lamb that is conducted to slaughter, and I did not know that they had devised plots against me: let us ruin the tree with its food, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, so that his name may not be remembered still.20And the LORD of Hosts is judging righteousness, testing kidneys and heart; I will see your vengeance from them, for to you I uncovered my strife.21Therefore thus said the LORD concerning the men of Anathoth who are seeking your life, saying: You shall not prophesy in the name of the LORD, and you shall not die by our hand.22Therefore thus said the LORD of Hosts: Look, I am reckoning upon them; the youths will die by the sword, their sons and their daughters will die by famine.23And no remnant will be to them, for I will bring distress upon the men of Anathoth, the year of their punishment.
