1And the queen of Sheba heard the report of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, and she came to test him with riddles.2And she came to Jerusalem with a very great company: camels carrying spices and very much gold and precious stones; and she came to Solomon and spoke with him all that was on her heart.3And Solomon declared to her all her words; there was no word hidden from the king that he did not declare to her.4And the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the house that he had built.5And the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his ministers and their clothing, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings that he offered in the house of the LORD; and there was no longer any spirit left in her.6And she said to the king, "The report that I heard in my land about your words and about your wisdom is true."7And I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes saw; and behold, not even the half had been told to me. You have added wisdom and good beyond the report that I heard.8Blessed are your men; blessed are these your servants who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom.9May the LORD your God be blessed, who was pleased with you to place you on the throne of Israel because of the LORD's love for Israel forever, and who appointed you king to do justice and righteousness.10And she gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold and a very great quantity of spices and precious stones; never again did such an abundance of spice come as that which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.11Moreover, Hiram's fleet that carried gold from Ophir brought from Ophir a very great quantity of almug wood and precious stones.12And the king made the almug wood into supports for the house of the LORD and for the house of the king, and into lyres and harps for the singers; such almug wood has never come again and has not been seen to this day.13And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, besides what he gave her according to the hand of King Solomon; then she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
