The Queen of Sheba Visits Solomon

Chapter 10
1 The queen of Sheba heard the report of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, and she came to test him with riddles. 2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great force, camels bearing spices and a great quantity of gold, and precious stones. She came to Solomon and told him all that was in her heart. 3 Solomon told her all her words; there was no word hidden from the king which he did not tell her. 4 The queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the house that he built. 5 the food of his table and the seating of his servants and the standing of his ministers and their clothing and his cupbearers and his burnt offering that he offers in the temple of the LORD—and there was no more spirit in her. 6 She said to the king, "It is true, the report that I heard in your land about your words and your wisdom." 7 I did not believe the words until I came and my eyes saw it. Behold, they did not tell me the half—you exceed the reports that I heard about wisdom and good. 8 Blessed are your men, blessed are your servants—these who stand before you continually, hearing your wisdom. 9 Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you to put you on the throne of Israel because of the LORD's love for Israel forever, and he has made you king to do justice and righteousness. 10 She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, a very large quantity of spices, and precious stones. No such spices ever came again in the abundance that the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon. 11 Hiram, who also brought gold from Ophir, brought almug trees from Ophir, very many, and a precious stone. 12 The king made the almug wood into supports for the house of the LORD and for the house of the king, and harps and lyres for the rulers. No such almug wood has come or been seen to this day. 13 King Solomon gave the Queen of Sheba everything she wanted that she asked for, apart from what he gave her from the hand of King Solomon. And she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
