21And Elkanah went up, and all his house, to sacrifice to the LORD the annual sacrifice and his vow.22But Hannah did not go up, for she had said to her husband, "I will not go up until the child is weaned; then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD and remain there forever."23And Elkanah her husband said to her, "Do what is good in your eyes; remain until you wean him. Only may the LORD establish his word." So the woman remained and nursed her son until she weaned him.24And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, one ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and she brought him to the house of the LORD at Shiloh; and the child was young.25And they slaughtered the bull and brought the child to Eli.26And she said, "Pardon me, my lord; as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood beside you here to pray to the LORD."27For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I asked of him.28And I also have lent him to the LORD; all the days that he lives he is lent to the LORD. And he bowed down there to the LORD.
