1These are the priests and the Levites who ascended with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, and Ezra.2Amariah, Malluch, and Hattush.3Shecaniah, Rehum, and Meremoth.4Iddo, Ginnethon, and Abijah.5Mijamin, Maadiah, and Bilgah.6Shemaiah, Joiarib, and Jedaiah.7Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah; these were the heads of the priests and their brothers in the days of Jeshua.8The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah; he and his brothers were over the praises.9Bakbukiah and Unni and their brothers stood before them for the charges.10Jeshua fathered Joiakim; Joiakim fathered Eliashib; and Eliashib fathered Joiada.11Joiada fathered Jonathan; and Jonathan fathered Jaddua.12In the days of Joiakim the priests were heads of the fathers: Meraiah for Seraiah, Hananiah for Jeremiah.13Meshullam for Ezra, Johanan for Amariah.14Jonathan for Mallichi, Joseph for Shebaniah.15Adna for Harim, Helkai for Meraioth.16Zechariah for Iddo, Meshullam for Ginnethon.17Zichri for Abijah, Piltai for Miniamin and Moadiah.18Shammua for Bilgah, Jonathan for Shemaiah.19Mattenai for Joiarib, Uzzi for Jedaiah.20Kallai for Sallai, Eber for Amok.21Hashabiah for Hilkiah, Nethanel for Jedaiah.22The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan, and Jaddua were recorded as heads of fathers, and the priests under the reign of Darius the Persian.23The sons of Levi, heads of the fathers, were recorded in the book of the chronicles up to the days of Johanan son of Eliashib.24The heads of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brothers before them to praise and give thanks according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch opposite watch.25Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were the keepers and gatekeepers maintaining custody in the storehouses of the gates.26These served in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and Ezra the priest and scribe.
