Chapter 16
1 He also came to Derbe and Lystra. There a disciple named Timothy was there, the son of a believing Jewish woman but a Greek father. 2 who was well spoken of by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul wanted him to go with him. He took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4 As they went through the cities, they delivered to them for observance the decisions reached by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem. 5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith and increased in number daily.
