Hezekiah's Prayer and Isaiah's Assurance

Isaiah 37:14-20
14Hezekiah took the documents from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the LORD and spread it before the LORD. 15Then Hezekiah prayed to the LORD, saying: 16O LORD of Hosts, God of Israel, enthroned on the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth; you made the heavens and the earth. 17Incline your ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib that he has sent to taunt the living God. 18Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste to all the lands and their land. 19And they have given their gods to the fire, for they are not gods but the work of human hands—wood and stone—and they perish. 20And now, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD.
