15You shall make a breastpiece of justice, the work of a designer; you shall make it like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, scarlet worm, and twisted linen.16It shall be square and doubled, a span its length and a span its width.17You shall fill it with a setting of stones, four rows of stones: a row of sardius, topaz, and emerald shall be the first row.18The second row shall be emerald, sapphire, and jasper.19The third row shall be jacinth, agate, and amethyst.20The fourth row shall be jasper, onyx, and jasper; they shall be woven with gold in their settings.21The stones shall be upon the names of the sons of Israel, twelve upon their names, engravings of a signet, each man upon his name; they shall be for the twelve tribes.22You shall make upon the breastpiece chains of twists, cord work of pure gold.23You shall make upon the breastpiece two rings of gold, and you shall place the two rings upon the two ends of the breastpiece.24You shall place the two cords of gold upon the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece.25You shall fasten the two ends of the two cords to the two filigrees and attach them to the shoulders of the ephod opposite its front.26You shall make two rings of gold and place them upon the two ends of the breastpiece, upon its lip that is toward the side of the ephod inward.27You shall make two rings of gold and place them upon the two shoulders of the ephod, below opposite its face, near its joining above the artwork of the ephod.28They shall bind the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue, so that it shall be upon the artwork of the ephod and the breastpiece shall not be removed from the ephod.29Aaron shall carry the names of the sons of Israel on the breastpiece of justice upon his heart when he comes into the holiness, for a memorial before the LORD continually.30You shall place into the breastpiece of justice the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be upon the heart of Aaron when he comes before the LORD; Aaron shall carry the justice of the sons of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
