10He was then teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.11And look, a woman who had a spirit of weakness for eighteen years; she was bent over and could not straighten up at all.12Then Jesus, seeing her, called to her and said to her, "Woman, you are released from your weakness."13And he laid his hands on her, and instantly she was restored and began to glorify God.14Then the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, answered and said to the crowd, "There are six days on which it is necessary to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day."15Then the Lord answered him and said, "Hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and, leading it away, water it?"16And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound, look, for eighteen years, be released from this bond on the Sabbath day?17And as he was saying these things, all his opponents were put to shame, and all the crowd rejoiced at all the honored things that were done by him.
