Interpretation: The Little Horn and Final Deliverance

Daniel 7:15-28

7
Chapter 7
15 My spirit was disturbed—I, Daniel—in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head terrified me. 16 I approached one of those who stood by, and I asked him the true meaning of all this. He told me and made the full interpretation known to me. 17 These great beasts, which are four—four kings—will arise from the earth. 18 The holy ones of the Most High will receive the kingdom, and they will possess the kingdom until eternity and until eternity of eternities. 19 Then I desired to make certain concerning the fourth beast, which was different from all of them, exceeding in dreadfulness, a beast of iron, and its claws of bronze—devouring, crushing, and trampling the remainder with its feet. 20 and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and concerning the one that came up after them and fell from before three of them, and such a horn, and eyes to it and a mouth speaking great things, and its appearance greater than its companions. 21 I was beholding, and that horn made war against the holy ones and prevailed against them. 22 until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was given to the holy ones of the Most High, and a time arrived and the kingdom was received by the holy ones. 23 He said, "The fourth beast: its kingdom will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will differ from all kingdoms and will eat all the earth and will thresh it and will grind it." 24 And the ten horns from its kingdom—ten kings will arise, and another will arise after them, and it will be different from the previous ones, and it will humble three kings. 25 and they will speak against the Most High, and he will speak against the holy ones of the Most High, and he will wear them out, and he will think to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time. 26 And judgment sat, and they will give its kingdom to destruction and to annihilation until the end. 27 And its kingdom and dominion and greatness—the kingdom under all the heavens that has been given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High—its kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey it. 28 "Here is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was greatly troubled, my visions terrified me, my brightness changed on me, and I kept the matter in my heart."
