Booths

Leviticus 23:33-44
33And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 34Speak to the sons of Israel, saying: On the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of booths for seven days to the LORD. 35On the first day there shall be a holy assembly; you shall not do any work of service. 36For seven days you shall present a food offering to the LORD. On the eighth day there shall be a holy assembly for you, and you shall present a food offering to the LORD; it is an assembly, and you shall not do any work of service. 37These are the appointed meetings of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy assemblies, to present a food offering to the LORD: a burnt offering and an offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, the word of a day on its day. 38This is apart from the Sabbaths of the LORD, and apart from your gifts, and apart from all your vows, and apart from all your freewill offerings that you give to the LORD. 39On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather the produce of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the LORD for seven days. The first day shall be a sabbath observance, and the eighth day a sabbath observance. 40On the first day you shall take for yourselves the fruit of a majestic tree, palm branches, boughs of a leafy tree, and willows of the torrent, and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. 41You shall celebrate it as a feast to the LORD for seven days in the year; it is a statute forever throughout your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42You shall dwell in booths for seven days; every native-born of Israel shall dwell in booths. 43So that your generations may know that I caused the sons of Israel to dwell in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 44Thus Moses declared to the sons of Israel the appointed meetings of the LORD.
