Booths

Chapter 23
33 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying. 34 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, a festival of booths for seven days to the LORD. 35 On the first day there shall be a sacred convocation; you shall do no work of service. 36 Seven days you shall offer the Woman to the LORD; on the eighth day there shall be a sacred convocation for you, and you shall offer the Woman to the LORD; it is an assembly—all the work of her service you shall not do. 37 These are the appointed times of the LORD, which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present a fire offering to the LORD: burnt offering and grain offering, sacrifice and libations, the matter of each day in its day. 38 besides the Sabbaths of the LORD and besides your gift offerings and besides all your vows and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the LORD. 39 However, on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather the produce of the land, you shall celebrate the festival of the LORD for seven days. On the first day there is a sabbath rest, and on the eighth day there is a sabbath rest. 40 On the first day you shall take for yourselves the fruit of splendid trees, date palms, branches of thicket trees, and willows of the brook. You shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. 41 You shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD for seven days in the year. It is a statute forever for your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You shall dwell in sukkot seven days; every native in Israel shall dwell in sukkot. 43 so that your generations may know that I made the sons of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God. 44 Moses spoke the appointed times of the LORD to the sons of Israel.
