Laws About Justice

Exodus 23:1-9
1You shall not lift up a false report. You shall not set your hand with a wicked person to be a witness of violence. 2You shall not be after the many to do harm, and you shall not testify in a dispute so as to stretch after the many to turn aside. 3And you shall not honor a poor person in his dispute. 4If you encounter the ox of your enemy or his stray donkey, you shall surely return it to him. 5If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden and you would cease from leaving it to him, you shall surely help him with it. 6You shall not pervert the justice of your needy in his dispute. 7You shall keep far from a false matter, and you shall not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I will not justify the wicked. 8And you shall not take a bribe, for the bribe blinds those who see and perverts the words of the righteous. 9And you shall not oppress a sojourner; you yourselves know the soul of the sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
