When they arrived at the synagogue of the Jews, they departed.11These men were more noble than those in Thessalonica. They received the word with all eagerness, examining the writings every day to see whether these things were so.12Many of them therefore believed, and not a few of the prominent Greek women and men.13When the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was also proclaimed by Paul in Berea, they came there and stirred up and troubled the crowds.14The brothers immediately sent Paul away to go as far as the sea, while Silas and Timothy remained there.15Those who conducted Paul brought him as far as Athens. After receiving instructions for Silas and Timothy to come to him as quickly as possible, they departed.
