1And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,2Son of Adam, set your face against Mount Seir and prophesy against it.3And you shall say to him, “Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir. I have stretched out my hand against you and given you desolation and horror.”4I will make your cities a desolation, and you a desolation you will be, and you will know that I am the LORD.5Because you have eternal enmity and drove the sons of Israel by the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end.6Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will make you guilty of blood, and blood will pursue you. If you did not hate blood, blood will pursue you.7And I will give Mount Seir to desolation and desolation, and I will cut off from it passerby and returner.8And I will fill its mountains with its slain, your hills and your heights and all your wadis—slain of the sword will fall in them.9I will make you desolations forever, and your cities shall not be inhabited, and you shall know that I am the LORD.10Because you said, “The two nations and the two lands will be mine, and we will possess them”—and the LORD was there.11Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will do according to your anger and according to your jealousy which you did because of your hatreds against them, and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.12And you will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your taunts that you spoke against the mountains of Israel, saying, “They have desolated them for us; they have given them for food.”13And you have magnified yourselves against me with your mouths, and you have multiplied your words against me—I have heard.14Thus says the Lord GOD: As all the land rejoices, I will make desolation for you.15As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because they were desolated, so I will do to you. You will be a desolation, Mount Seir and all Edom, all of it. And they will know that I am the LORD.
