Chapter 4
21
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
22
Take a census of the heads of the sons of Gershon, by their fathers' houses, by their clans.
23
From thirty years old and upward to fifty years old you shall muster them, everyone who enters the service to do the work in the tent of meeting.
24
This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in service and bearing burdens.
25
And they shall bear the curtain of the tabernacle and the tent of meeting, its covering and the covering of porpoise skin that is on it from above, and the screen for the entrance of the tent of meeting.
26
and the hangings of the court and the screen for the gate of the court, which is over the tabernacle and over the altar all around, and their cords and all the vessels of their service and all that is made for them, and they shall serve.
27
At the command of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites for all their burden and for all their service, and you shall assign to them their charge in the sacred charge with all their burden.
28
This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the tent of meeting, and their charge under the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.
