Chapter 2
1
And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:

Each man by his banner with the signs of their fathers' house shall encamp. The sons of Israel shall encamp opposite each other all around the tent of meeting.
3
And the encampments eastward toward the east are the standard of the camp of Judah to their heavenly host/army, and the ruler/prince of the sons of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab.
4
And their cosmic heavenly host and their musters are seventy-four thousand six hundred.
5
Those camping next to them are the tribe of Issachar, and the chieftain of the sons of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.

And its host and its musterings: fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7
The staff of Zebulun and the prince of the sons of Zebulun: Eliab son of Helon.
8
And its host and its mustered ones: fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
9
All the mustered ones of the camp of Judah: one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, for their heavenly host/army; they will journey first.
10
The standard of the camp of Reuben is Teman, to their heavenly hosts, and the ruler of the sons of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.

And their cosmic and their musters were forty-six hundred and five hundred the man.
12
The one encamping beside him is the tribe of Simeon, and the prince of the sons of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

And their heavenly host and their musters: fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14
the tribe of Gad and the prince of the sons of Gad: Elisaph son of Reuel.
15
And their host and their mustering: fifty-four thousand six hundred and fifty.
16
All the mustered of the camp of Reuben: one hundred thousand and one thousand and fifty thousand and four hundred and fifty, to their heavenly host/army. And they shall journey second.
17
The tent of meeting shall journey in the midst of the camps, the camp of the Levites; as they encamp, so they shall journey, each by his unit under their banners.
18
The standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their hosts was toward the west, and the ruler of the sons of Ephraim: Elishama son of Ammihud.

and their heavenly host and their musterings: forty thousand five hundred.
20
And over it the tribe of Manasseh, and the prince of the sons of Manasseh: Gamliel son of Pedahzur.
21
And their heavenly host and their musters: thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22
And the division of Benjamin, and the prince of the sons of Benjamin: Abidan son of Gideoni.
23
And their cosmic host and their musters are thirty-five thousand four hundred.
24
All those mustered of the camp of Ephraim: one hundred thousand eight hundred according to their cosmic hosts; and they shall journey third.
25
The banner of the camp of Dan is on the north side of their hosts, and the ruler of the sons of Dan: Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.
26
And their host and their musterings: sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27
And the living creature over it, the tribe of Asher, and the ruler for the sons of Asher: Pagiel son of Ocran.
28
And their cosmic host and their musterings: forty-one thousand five hundred.
29
The staff of Naphtali and the prince of the sons of Naphtali: Ahira son of Enan.
30
And their heavenly host and their musters are fifty-four thousand three hundred.
31
All those mustered of the camp of Dan: 157,600. They will journey last, by their standards.
32
These are the visitations of the sons of Israel by their fathers' houses, all the visitations of the camp by their heavenly host/armies: six hundred thousand and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
33
The Levites were not mustered among the sons of Israel, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
34
And the sons of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses. In this way they encamped by their banners, and in this way they journeyed, each to his families, by the house of his fathers.
