A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave; a prayer.1I cry out my voice to the LORD; I plead for grace with my voice to the LORD.2I pour out my complaint before his face; I tell my distress before his face.3When my spirit grows faint upon me, you know my path; in the way that I walk they have hidden a snare for me.4Look to the right and see; there is no one who recognizes me; my refuge has perished from me; there is no one who seeks my soul.5I cry out to you, the LORD; I say, you are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.6Give attention to my cry, for I am greatly languishing; deliver me from my pursuers, for they are stronger than I.7Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name; the righteous will gather around me, for you will deal bountifully with me.
