6They will pasture the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod with its entrances. He will rescue from Assyria, for he will come into our land and for he will tread within our border.7The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers upon vegetation that does not await a man and does not wait for the children of man.8The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the wood, like a young lion among flocks of sheep. If it passes through and tramples and tears, there will be none to rescue.9Your hand will be exalted against your adversaries, and all your enemies will be cut off.10It will be on that day, declares the LORD, that I will cut off your horses from your midst and destroy your chariots.11I will cut off the cities of your land and overthrow all your strongholds.12I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and diviners will not be for you.13I will cut off your idols and your pillars from your midst, and you will no longer bow to the work of your hands.14I will uproot your Asherah from your midst and destroy your cities.15I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that have not obeyed.
