1And now thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, and your Former, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you; when you walk through fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not burn you.3For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.4Because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you, I will give man in exchange for you and peoples in exchange for your life.5Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your seed from the east, and from the west I will gather you.6I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not restrain; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth.7Everyone called by my name and for my glory—I created him, I formed him, I also made him.8Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.9All the nations are gathered together, and the peoples assemble; who among them will declare this and proclaim to us the former things? Let them give their witnesses and be justified; let them hear and say, It is true.10You are my witnesses, declares the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he; before me no god was formed, and after me there will be none.11I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior.12I declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange god among you; you are my witnesses, declares the LORD, and I am God.13Also from the day I am he, and there is no one who delivers from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?
