Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is the whole fruit of taking away his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altars like the stones of a threshing floor, they shall be broken and shall not be raised up again—no Asherah-posts, no incense altars.
For a fortified city has been forsaken, a habitation left alone and deserted—like a wilderness there a calf grazes, there it lies down; and there the oxen feed.
When the harvest is past they will be broken; the women come to glean it—because it is not a people of understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have pity on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.
