Nehemiah 9:38-10:39
38And in all this we cut a sure agreement and write it, and upon the sealed document are our rulers, our Levites, and our priests.
Chapter 10
1And upon the sealed document are Nehemiah the governor, son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah. 2Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah, 3Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah, 4Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch, 5Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah, 6Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch, 7Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin, 8Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah—these are the priests. 9And the Levites: Jeshua son of Azaniah, Binnui from the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel, 10and their brothers Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan, 11Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah, 12Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah, 13Hodiah, Bani, Beninu. 14The heads of the people: Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani, 15Bunni, Azgad, Bebai, 16Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin, 17Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur, 18Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai, 19Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai, 20Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir, 21Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua, 22Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah, 23Hoshea, Hananiah, Hasshub, 24Hallohesh, Pilha, Shobek, 25Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah, 26and Ahijah, Hanan, Anan, 27Malluch, Harim, Baanah. 28And the remnant of the people—the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who separated themselves from the peoples of the lands—joined the instruction of God with their wives, their sons, and their daughters, all who know and understand. 29They strengthen their brothers, their great ones, and enter an oath and an oath to walk in the instruction of God which was given by the hand of Moses the servant of God, and to keep and to do all the commandment of the LORD our God, and his justice and his statutes. 30And we will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, nor will we take their daughters for our sons. 31And the peoples of the land who bring wares and all grain on the Sabbath day to sell—we will not take from them on the Sabbath or on a holy day; and we will leave the seventh year and every hand's interest. 32We have also laid upon ourselves a commandment to give a third of a shekel each year for the service of the house of our God. 33For the bread of the row, the continual grain offering, the continual burnt offering, the Sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed times, the holy things, the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and all the work of the house of our God. 34We cast lots for the wood offering, the priests, the Levites, and the people, to bring it to the house of our God according to our fathers' houses at the appointed times year by year, to burn it upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the instruction. 35And we bring the firstfruits of our land and the firstfruits of every tree's fruit year by year to the house of the LORD. 36And we bring the firstborn of our sons and our animals, as it is written in the instruction, and the firstborn of our cattle and our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God. 37And the first of our dough, our contributions, the fruit of every tree, new wine, and oil we bring to the priests in the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithe of our land to the Levites, and the Levites tithe in all the cities of our service. 38And the priest, the son of Aaron, is with the Levites when the Levites tithe, and the Levites bring the tithe of the tithe to the house of our God, to the chambers, to the treasury house. 39For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi bring the contribution of the grain, the new wine, and the oil to the chambers, and there are the articles of the sanctuary, the priests who minister, the gatekeepers, and the singers, and we will not forsake the house of our God.
