Alternative generated candidates
- For the material was sufficient for all the work—to do it—and there was surplus.
- For the materials were sufficient for all the work, to do it, and there was surplus.
And Moses said to the Israelites, See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, and with knowledge, and with every craft,
and to devise designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze,
and in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to do every work of skillful design. And he has put in his heart to teach—he and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do all the work of the craftsman and of the designer and of the embroiderer in blue and in purple and in scarlet yarn and in fine linen, and of the weaver—workers of every work and devisers of designs. And Bezalel and Oholiab and every man wise-hearted in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding—to know how to do all the work of the service of the sanctuary—shall do according to all that the LORD has commanded. And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every man wise-hearted in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, everyone whose heart stirred him to come near to the work to do it. And they took from before Moses all the contribution that the Israelites had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to do it; and they kept bringing to him a freewill offering, morning by morning.
Then all the wise-hearted who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each man from the work that they were doing. And they said to Moses, saying, The people are bringing more than enough for the work of the service that the LORD has commanded to be done. So Moses commanded, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, No man or woman shall do any more work for the contribution for the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.
For the materials were sufficient for all the work, to do it—and there was surplus.
