Psalm 12

Psalm 12:1-8
For the director, upon the Sheminith; a melody of David. 1Save, O the LORD, for the pious has ceased, for the faithful have disappeared from the sons of man. 2They speak vanity, each man with his neighbor; they speak with lips of smoothness, in heart and heart. 3May the LORD cut off all lips of smoothness, the tongue speaking great things. 4They have said, "We will prevail with our tongue; our lips are with us; who is lord over us?" 5Because of the violence against the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, "Now I will arise," says the LORD; "I will set in salvation; he will breathe upon him." 6The words of the LORD are pure words, silver refined in a furnace on the earth, refined sevenfold. 7You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard him from this generation forever. 8The wicked walk around; as the exaltation of vileness among the sons of man.
