1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: I am the LORD your God.3You shall not do according to the practices of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, nor shall you do according to the practices of the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you; and you shall not walk in their statutes.4You shall perform my justices and keep my statutes, walking in them. I am the LORD your God.5You shall keep my statutes and my justices, by which a man who does them shall live. I am the LORD.6None of you shall approach any of his own flesh to uncover nakedness. I am the LORD.7You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father or the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.8You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness.9You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, whether the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home or born abroad.10You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter, for they are your own nakedness.11You shall not uncover the nakedness of the daughter of your father's wife, born to your father; she is your sister.12You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister; she is your father's flesh.13You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, for she is your mother's flesh.14You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother; you shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.15You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife; you shall not uncover her nakedness.16You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness.17You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter; you shall not take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter to uncover her nakedness; they are near kin; it is wickedness.18You shall not take a woman as a rival to her sister, uncovering her nakedness while the sister is alive.19You shall not approach a woman during the impurity of her uncleanness to uncover her nakedness.20You shall not give your emission of seed to the wife of your neighbor to defile her.21You shall not give any of your offspring to pass through to Molech, nor profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.22You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.23You shall not give your emission to any animal to defile yourself with it, nor shall a woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is perversion.24Do not defile yourselves by any of these things, for the nations that I am driving out before you defiled themselves by all these things.25The land became defiled, so I punished it for its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.26You shall keep my statutes and my justices; none of you, whether native or sojourner who sojourns among you, shall do any of these abominations.27For the men of the land who were before you committed all these abominations, and the land became defiled.28The land shall not vomit you out when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.29Whoever does any of these abominations, the persons who do them shall be cut off from among their people.30You shall keep my charge by not doing any of the abominable statutes practiced before you, and you shall not defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.
