Isaiah

A New Creation: Joy and Peace

65
Chapter 65
17 For behold, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former things will not be remembered, nor will they come up in the heart. 18 For rejoice and exult forever in what I am creating; for behold, I am creating Jerusalem a joy and her people a delight. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in my people, and no longer will the voice of weeping or the voice of crying be heard in it. 20 There will not be from there anymore an infant of days or an elder who does not fill his days, for the boy, a son of a hundred years, will die, and the sinner, a son of a hundred years, will be cursed. 21 And they will build houses and dwell in them, and plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 22 They will not build and another dwell in them; they will not plant and another eat. For as the days of the tree are the days of my people, and the work of their hands will wear out my chosen ones. 23 They will not labor in vain or bear children for terror, for they will be the seed of the blessed ones of the LORD, and their offspring with you. 24 And it will be that before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb will graze as one, and the lion, like cattle, will eat straw, and the serpent his dust as bread. They will not graze nor destroy in all my holy mountains, says the LORD.
