19And the sons of the captivity performed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.20For the priests and the Levites had purified themselves together; all of them were pure, and they slaughtered the Passover for all the sons of the captivity and for their brothers the priests and for them.21Then the sons of Israel who had returned from the captivity ate, together with everyone who had separated himself from the uncleanness of the nations of the land, in order to seek the LORD, the God of Israel.22They kept the feast of unleavened bread for seven days with joy, because the LORD had made them rejoice and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria toward them, so that he might strengthen their hands for the work on the house of the God of Israel.
