Letter to Thyatira: Tolerance of Immorality and Promise to Overcomers
Revelation 2:18-29
18And to the angel of the assembly in Thyatira write: The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire and feet like burnished bronze, says this.19I know your works and your love and your faith and your service and your perseverance, and your last works are more than the first.20But I have against you that you leave the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and leads my slaves astray to sin sexually and to eat things sacrificed to idols.21And I gave her time so that she might repent, and she is unwilling to repent of her sexual sin.22Look, I will throw her onto a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works.23And her children I will kill with death, and all the assemblies will know that I am the one searching minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your works.24But I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, as many as do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan as they say: I will not throw another burden upon you.25Nevertheless, hold fast what you have until I come.26And the one who conquers and keeps my works until the end, I will give him authority over the Gentiles.27And he will shepherd them with a rod of iron, as the clay vessels are broken.28As I also have received from my Father, I will give him the morning star.29The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
