9Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying: "Be silent and hear, O Israel. This day you have become a people belonging to the LORD your God."10You shall hear the voice of the LORD your God and shall do his commandment and his statutes that I command you today.11Moses commanded the people on that day, saying:12"These shall stand to bless the people on Mount Gerizim when you cross the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin."13And these shall stand for the curse on Mount Ebal: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.14Then the Levites shall answer and declare to every man of Israel in a loud voice:15"Cursed be the man who makes an idol or a cast image, an abomination to the LORD, the work of an artisan's hands, and sets it up in secret." And all the people shall answer and say, "Amen."16"Cursed be anyone who dishonors his father or his mother." And all the people shall say, "Amen."17"Cursed be anyone who moves his neighbor's boundary marker." And all the people shall say, "Amen."18"Cursed be anyone who misleads a blind person on the road." And all the people shall say, "Amen."19"Cursed be anyone who perverts justice due to the sojourner, the orphan, or the widow." And all the people shall say, "Amen."20"Cursed be anyone who lies with his father's wife, for he has uncovered his father's garment." And all the people shall say, "Amen."21"Cursed be anyone who lies with any animal." And all the people shall say, "Amen."22"Cursed be anyone who lies with his sister, whether the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother." And all the people shall say, "Amen."23"Cursed be anyone who lies with his mother-in-law." And all the people shall say, "Amen."24"Cursed be anyone who strikes his neighbor in secret." And all the people shall say, "Amen."25"Cursed be anyone who accepts a bribe to shed the blood of an innocent person." And all the people shall say, "Amen."26"Cursed be anyone who does not uphold the words of this instruction by doing them." And all the people shall say, "Amen."
