The Dedication Celebrated with Sacrifice

1 Kings 8:62-66
62The king and all Israel with him offered a sacrifice before the LORD. 63Solomon offered as the sacrifice of the peace offerings that he offered to the LORD twenty-two thousand cattle and one hundred twenty thousand sheep. Thus the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD. 64On that day the king consecrated the midst of the court that was before the house of the LORD, because he performed there the burnt offering and the offering and the fat of the peace offerings; for the bronze altar that was before the LORD was too small to hold the burnt offering and the offering and the fat of the peace offerings. 65At that time Solomon held the feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly from the entrance of Bo and Hamath as far as the torrent of Egypt, before the LORD their God, seven days and seven days, fourteen days. 66On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king; then they went to their tents, glad and pleasant of heart, because of all the good that the LORD had done for David his servant and for Israel his people.
