17Gather your bundle from the land, you who dwell in the siege.18For thus says the LORD: Behold, I am slinging the inhabitants of the land at this time, and I will bring distress upon them so that they may find it.19Woe to me because of my brokenness; my wound is weak, and I said, Surely this is my sickness, and I will bear it.20My tent is ruined and all my cords are torn; my sons have gone out from me and they are no more; there is no one stretching my tent any longer or raising my curtains.21For the shepherds have become brutish and have not sought the LORD; therefore they have not acted prudently, and all their flock is scattered.22A voice of rumor—behold, it is coming—and a great quaking from the land of the north, to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a habitation of jackals.
