Letter to Smyrna: Persecution and the Crown of Life
Revelation 2:8-11
8And to the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write: This says the first and the last, who became dead and lived.9I know your pressure and your poverty, but you are rich, and the blasphemy from those saying they themselves are Jews, and they are not, but a synagogue of Satan.10Fear nothing which you are about to suffer. Look, the devilish one is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tempted, and you will have pressure of ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.11The one having an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the assemblies. The one conquering will not be harmed from the second death.
