16And at the end of seven days, the word of the LORD came to me, saying.17Son of Adam, I have given you as a watchman to the house of Israel, and you shall hear the word from my mouth, and you shall warn them from me.18When I say to the wicked, "You will surely die," and you do not warn him and do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, to save his life—he, the wicked one, in his iniquity will die, and his blood from your hand I will seek.19And you, if you warned a wicked one and he did not turn from his wickedness and from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, and you have delivered your soul.20When a righteous one turns from his righteousness and does injustice, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. For you did not warn him in his sin; he will die, and his righteousnesses that he did will not be remembered, and his blood from your hand I will seek.21And you, if you warned the righteous one not to sin, and he did not sin, he shall live; he lives because he was warned. And you, you have delivered your nephesh.22The hand of the LORD was upon me there, and he said to me, "Rise, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you."23And I arose and went out to the plain, and behold, there the glory of the LORD was standing, like the glory that I had seen by the river Chebar, and I fell on my face.24A spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and it spoke with me. He said to me, "Go, shut yourself up in the middle of your house."25And you, son of man, behold, they have put ropes on you and bound you with them, and you shall not go out among them.26And I will stick your tongue to your palate, and you will be dumbstruck, and you will not be to them a man of rebuking, for they are a house of rebellion.27With my words to you I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, "Thus says the Lord GOD: The one hearing will hear, and the one desisting will desist—for they are a house of rebellion."
