Priests Rebuked for Polluting the Offerings

Malachi 1:6-14
6A son honors his father, and a servant his lord. If I am a father, where is my honor? If I am lords, where is my fear? says the LORD of Hosts to you priests who despise my name. Yet you say, How have we despised your name? 7You bring defiled food upon my altar and then say, How have we defiled you? By declaring that the table of the LORD is despised. 8When you present the blind for sacrifice, there is nothing wrong; when you present the lame or the sick, there is nothing wrong. Present it now to your governor; will he accept you or show you favor? says the LORD of Hosts. 9Now entreat God's favor that he may be gracious to us. This has come from your own hand. Will he show favor to you? says the LORD of Hosts. 10Who among you will also shut the doors so that you no longer kindle my altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of Hosts, and I will not accept an offering from your hand. 11For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense is offered and a pure offering presented to my name, for my name is great among the nations, says the LORD of Hosts. 12But you profane it by saying that the table of the Lord is defiled and that its food is contemptible. 13You also say, What a burden! and you snort at it, says the LORD of Hosts. You bring the stolen animal, the lame, and the sick, and you present the offering. Shall I accept it from your hand? says the LORD. 14Cursed be the deceiver who has a male in his flock yet vows and sacrifices a ruined animal to the Lord. For I am a great king, says the LORD of Hosts, and my name is feared among the nations.
