Psalm 11

Psalm 11:1-7

11
Chapter 11
To the director. To David. In the LORD I have taken refuge. How do you say to my soul, "Fugitives to your mountain, birds"? 1 For look, the wicked bend a bow; they fix their arrow upon the string, to shoot in the darkness at the upright of heart. 2 For look, the wicked tread the bow; they have fixed their arrow upon the string to shoot in darkness at the upright of heart. 3 The LORD is in the palace of his holiness; the LORD—his throne is in the heavens; his eyes gaze, his eyelids examine the sons of man. 4 The LORD is in the temple of his holiness; the LORD—his throne is in the heavens. His eyes gaze; his eyelids examine the sons of humanity. The righteous the LORD will test, and the wicked and one loving violence his soul hates. 5 He will rain on the wicked snares, fire and brimstone and a wind of raging blasts—the portion of their cup. 6 For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; the upright will behold his face.
