John 17:6-19

Chapter 17
6 I have made your name known to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that all things—whatever you have given me—are from you. 8 because the words that you gave me I have given to them. And they received them and truly knew that I came forth from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9 I ask concerning them. I do not ask concerning the world, but concerning those whom you have given me, because they are yours. 10 And all my things are yours, and your things are mine, and I have been glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name which you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in the name that you have given me, and I guarded them, and none of them perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they are not from the world just as I am not from the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not from the cosmos, just as I am not from the cosmos. 17 Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth. 18 Just as you sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world. 19 And for them I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth.
