Chapter 85
For the director. For the sons of Korah. A psalm. 1 LORD, you have been pleased with your land; you have restored the fortunes of Jacob. 2 You have been pleased with your people, the land of Jacob; you have restored the captivity. Selah. 3 You have borne the iniquity of your people; you have covered all their sins. Selah. 4 Return to us, God of our salvation, and cease your anger with us. 5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger with us to generation and generation? 6 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to generation and generation? 7 Show us your grace, LORD, and grant us your salvation. 8 I will hear what the God, the LORD, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his faithful ones, and to those who turn back, lest they turn to folly. 9 Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so that his glory may dwell in our land. 10 Lovingkindness and truth meet; righteousness and peace kiss. 11 Truth will sprout from the earth, and Righteousness will look down from heaven. 12 The LORD will also give what is good, and our land will give its produce. 13 Righteousness will go before him and will set his footsteps in the way.
