The Cloud Over the Tabernacle

Numbers 9:15-23

9
Chapter 9
15 And on the day they raised the tabernacle, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony; and in the evening it was on the tabernacle like the appearance of fire until morning. 16 In this way it was continually: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 And whenever the cloud lifted from over the tabernacle, after that the sons of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud would dwell, there the sons of Israel would encamp. 18 At the mouth of the LORD the sons of Israel would journey, and at the mouth of the LORD they would encamp. All the days that the cloud dwelt over the tabernacle, they would encamp. 19 And when the cloud lingered over the tabernacle many days, the sons of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and they did not journey. 20 And there were times when the Divine cloud of glory/theophany was [a few] days on the Tabernacle; at the mouth of the LORD they encamped, and at the mouth of the LORD they journeyed. 21 And sometimes the cloud remained from evening until morning, and when the cloud went up in the morning, they journeyed; or if it remained by day and night and the cloud went up, they journeyed. 22 or days or a month or days in prolonging the cloud over the Tabernacle to dwell on it, the sons of Israel would encamp and not journey, and when it was lifted they would journey. 23 At the mouth of the LORD they encamped, and at the mouth of the LORD they journeyed; they kept the charge of the LORD, at the mouth of the LORD, by the hand of Moses.
